Need to replace an intermediate sink.....I keep hearing about the clear lines being better?

Any input.....pros or cons, brand, etc.?

Thanx.

I like both of these...

SA Streamer Express Intermediate

SA Wet Tip Clear

The Streamer Express has a long clear tip, & it casts very well, but it's going to be harder to pick up...

The Wet Tip has a short clear tip, but is easier to handle. I'd recommend the Wet Tip if you can get away w/ it, but spooky fish & clear water would probably make the Streamer Express a better choice. I'd go w/ the best compromise...

For clear flylines, I fish Airflo Tactical. I like them, they cast great during summer weather, but tend to coil during cold conditions. The only problem I've had with them is that one of them broke on me. It is the only flyline that I've ever broken. I don't think the mono core is as strong as the dacron core of more tratidional flylines. I broke it while stretching the line to remove the coils. Probably pulled too hard! biggrin.gif

Thanks for your help.

Lots of choices now that i've researched a bit. Somewhat worried about the "stiffness" of some in cold weather/water.

Still frozen solid here, so have alittle time to decide.
