Hey guys I was hoping to gain a little knowlege on where to go fishing. I am a college student looking to take a roadtrip from Texas to fish a couple places in Colorado. I am wanting to camp in a tent and wouldn't mind having a place where I can hike in a ways. I would like to fly fish but a buddy that is going with me hasn't ever fly fished so he will most likely bust out the spinning reel. thank you for any advice you have

Read this month's Fly Fisherman Magazine (pick it up on your newstand). It has an article by Landon Meyer, a local guide extraordinaire, that talks of Elk Creek in the Rio Grande Wilderness. This is just north of the New Mexico/ Colorado border. It offers ALL the things you're looking for.

This way we don't have to give up any of our "secret" spots. Us Coloradoans are kinda' funny when it comes to you Texans!! wink.gif
