While I was in sportsman wearhouse yesterday I over heard a guy saying that the Valco ponds had very little to no ice. He said he was there on 01-24-10
I was there on 01-18-10 and there was some open water but stil lots of ice. I hope to be down that way tomorrow I will report back if I make it.

Well I made it to pueblo today and as I said I would report back. The ponds still have enough ice to not put a float tube on. There is some open water but not enough to reach fish that are most like deep. I did however have a great day on the river.
