DUBBN and I headed out for what turned out to be a short day. We started on the Pan all the way up at the dam, you all know the place. We did not fish the TB but instead I wanted to throw streamers, crazy right? Who in their right mind would throw giant flies on a tailwater, with 1x leader and no tippet?















We also stopped and fished the Fork, both of us managed to land fish there as well.





The weather conditions started out pretty good, but then it turned into a blizzard, dumping about 1" an hour so we bailed early so we could make it home before the roads got bad. DUBBN managed to hook up with 3 species landing 2 while I managed to land only browns.

The temps were a bit chilly, but the rush of fish chasing and slamming big flies makes that go away.

As for the big flies question, it was regarding a recent topic where one poster told another to "Leave the big flies home"
