I did not read either link in your thread before I posted this, although I will when I have a little more time.

But, my hope is that Montana will be making things easier to understand and follow and not the other way around. Earlier this year we had to have a guide meeting and have the outfitter explain to us what a certain permit entitled us to do and when it entitiled us to do it. Things are so darn complicated no one seems to understand how things work. Hopefully these new regulations will change that.

JD, I read the material and I'm not really sure what issues they plan on addressing. I need to go back and look at the links since I feel like I'm missing something.

I do know the special rules they created on the Big Hole was very confusing for many out of state anglers. People were never sure when and where you could float.

I noticed the public meetings on this topic have started. I'm going to try and attend the meeting next week in Billings.
